Clinic Overview

The Adoption Medicine Clinic at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital provides pre-adoption medical review of referral information, pre-adoption travel counseling, post-adoption clinic care, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) evaluations and child mental health services in the form of development and transition counseling for international or domestic adoptees.

For questions about pre adoption services, please call 612.624.1164. For post-adoption clinical care questions, speak with our nurse care coordinator at 612-273-0853.

Established nearly 25 years ago, the clinic has a historic commitment to the health and well-being of adopted children and their families. This commitment is evident in the team's pre- and post-adoption family support services and orphan advocacy efforts in the public policy arena. Our treatment programs are informed by clinical research and help improve the lives of adopted children and their families in Minnesota and beyond.
