Clinic Overview
For more than 40 years, University of Minnesota Physicians and University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital have led the field in developing novel therapies and providing compassionate, innovative care to those in need of blood and marrow transplant (BMT). Our pediatric BMT team offers the highest quality treatment along with personalized care that is based on each child's unique situation and needs.
Utilizing the expertise of our physician-researchers, we continually improve the safety and effectiveness of transplant therapy. We also have the world's largest adult and pediatric umbilical cord blood transplant program, making BMT an option for nearly all patients.
Summer construction notice to patients
Construction may increase dust and soil amounts in the air. This can raise the risk of immunocompromised patients developing Aspergillus infection or other problems.
What can you do?
1. Wear a high-efficiency filtration mask (N95) to protect yourself from excessive dust exposure when near a construction area. (Masks can be purchased at Home Depot or Walgreen’s, or you may obtain one at your clinic.)
2. If you’re coming to the U of M East Bank, use the tunnel from the patient parking lot on Harvard and Delaware St.
Questions? Please call your clinic or ask your care team at your visit.
