Clinic Overview

The Movement Disorders and Epilepsy Surgery Center at University of Minnesota Medical Center was formed to evaluate and treat patients with severe movement disorders. This multidisciplinary center brings together neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuropsychologists, rehabilitation specialists, neuroradiologists, psychiatrists, clinical nurse specialists and allied health professionals.

Propelled by active research, innovative technology, and novel therapies, the mission of the Movement Disorders and Epilepsy Surgery Program is to deliver the highest quality care for patients with disorders that affect neurological function.

This accreditation means our bariatric surgery program is a comprehensive center that has passed a rigorous external national review by fellow surgeons.  In addition, we are one of a very select few programs that have also achieved Adolescent Qualifications by the American College of Surgeons.
