Adult Congenital and Cardiovascular Genetics Clinic
The Adult Congenital and Cardiovascular Genetics Clinic is a specialized clinic that patients have long wanted. The clinic is tailored for a unique population: adult patients who were born with structural heart disease or patients who have cardiovascular diseases that are hereditary or hereditary conditions that predispose them to heart disease.
The Adult Congenital and Cardiovascular Genetics Center (ACCGC) provides a unique approach to cardiac care. All patients are seen in an adult clinic by both a pediatric cardiologist and an adult cardiologist. By combining the skills of these two specialists, we provide comprehensive care for complex heart disease. This allows us to care for you through all stages of your life.
Another unique aspect of the ACCGC is the collaborative care we provide. Some individuals with congenital heart disease may have complex health care issues that require coordination of care with several medical or surgical specialists. We work with an extensive team of professionals and can provide coordinated care for complex medical problems.
Whether you have had symptoms or problems associated with your heart disease or have merely forgotten your diagnosis and its initial treatment, we believe it is important to learn more about your condition and the need for continued care. We (The ACCGC) are available to assess your current cardiac needs, discuss appropriate follow up, and provide you with complete cardiology care or work with your own physician or cardiologist.

Understanding Your Diagnosis
In the ACCGC, we feel patient education is important. In addition to knowing the type of heart condition you have, we want you to understand treatment options, important signs and symptoms to watch for, the benefits and side effects of medication, and the potential risk to family members.
