Treatments and Procedures

The clinic collaborates with an extensive team of professionals to provide comprehensive care for complex heart disease. Some individuals with congenital heart disease may also have complex health care issues that require coordination of care with multiple medical specialists. Listed below are some of the procedures the clinic provides or facilitates access to:

  • advanced echocardiographic and radiologic imaging
  • diagnostic and interventional catheterization
  • medical treatment of heart failure
  • medical treatment of pulmonary hypertension
  • electrophysiologic studies including: 24 hour Holter exams, event recorders, invasive EP studies and insertion of cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators
  • congenital cardiac surgery
  • ventricular assist devices
  • heart transplantation
  • genetic counseling and testing
  • management of contraception and high risk pregnancies
