Do You Qualify For Weight-Loss Surgery?

As a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, we follow the National Institute of Health guidelines for obesity surgery. To qualify, you must have a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or greater or a BMI of 35 in addition to any of the diseases assocaited with obesity. Those diseases include:

• Type 2 diabetes
• Obstructive sleep apnea
• High cholesterol
• Asthma
• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - heartburn symptoms
• Osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease
