Thrombosis
Center
offers a wide range of services for patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. These include diagnostic evaluations and education for new patients as well as long-term follow-up for established patients. Patients with bleeding and clotting problems are assigned to a hematologist, as well as a primary nurse coordinator who assists in the coordination of care. The Center also has a full-time social worker to provide psychosocial assessment, counseling and resource information. Patients at the Center may also interact with medical professionals from a number of disciplines including physical therapy, genetics, dentistry, infectious disease, orthopaedics, primary care, and others as needed.
Since 1977, we have assisted in improving the quality of life for people diagnosed with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, and participated in cutting-edge research to further the advancement of diagnosis and treatment options.
