UMPhysicians Participates in a Free Community Education Series about Cancer

Sep 14, 2006

University of Minnesota Physicians, along with the University of Minnesota Cancer Center, is offering a free community education series called Cancer U: Ask the Experts. The purpose of this series is to provide public access to information about cancer straight from the experts who treat the disease. These events offer the public an opportunity to get sound answers about cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and research from the doctors and researchers of University of Minnesota Physicians.

The series comprises three individual programs, each dealing with advances in research and treatment of a particular type of cancer. The first topic to be presented is Prostate Cancer, which will be followed by Women and Cancer, and Lung Cancer.

There is no charge to attend the sessions, but those who are interested are requested to pre-register. Seating is limited. For further information and registration instructions, please call 612-624-2620 or visit www.cancer.umn.edu.
