Bio Statement
After completing clinical training at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Yueh was selected by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 1995 to serve as one of 25 American clinician-scientists to receive special training in advanced clinical research. Dr. Yueh spent two full years at Yale University as a RWJ Clinical Scholar, working with leading researchers in clinical epidemiology such as Alvan Feinstein.
Over the past decade and a half, Dr. Yueh and his colleagues have re-invigorated clinical inquiry in otolaryngology nationally. His own efforts have identified best strategies to diagnose hearing loss, created validated scales to measure the impact of hearing loss, and documented effectiveness of sleep apnea, nose, and sinus surgery. He is most well-known internationally for his work to measure and to improve functional status and quality of life in patients with head & neck cancer.
