Bio Statement
Angela Smith joined the Department of Pediatrics in July 2008 as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology/Blood and Marrow Transplantation.
Dr. Smith graduated with her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2002. She then went on to complete her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Blood and Marrow Transplantation at the University of Minnesota in June 2008. During her fellowship, she also completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Research through the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Smith currently sees patients in the outpatient Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic and attends on the inpatient Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant ward at the University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital. Her professional and research interests include pediatric blood and marrow transplantation, acute transplant related complications and endothelial biology.
