Care Philosophy

It is important to effectively treat identified diagnoses. I try my best to help my patients achieve cure of what can be cured and to help them cope as best as possible with what cannot be cured. However, I also try to carefully understand the entire medical course and assorted problems in each of my patients and stop and think whether there might be other diagnoses better explaining/unifying those of the patient’s problems that have been identified to date. I believe it is more likely there is one or just a few root issues going on rather than a large assortment of problems that have arisen independently of one another. Especially when the situation is complex, identification of the diagnosis that is the true root problem is often the best way to identify the most productive path forward.
