Specializing in conducting research and applying the findings to patient care, psychiatrists from University of Minnesota Physicians are leading the way in treating impulse-control disorders (ICD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Experts at the Impulse and Compulsive Disorders Program in the Psychiatry Clinic at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview diagnose and treat  patients with:

  • Pathological gambling disorder
  • Compulsive shopping disorder
  • Kleptomania (shoplifting)
  • Pyromania (fire setting)
  • Compulsive sexual addictions
  • Alcohol dependency
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder
