If you or someone you care about is struggling with depression, addiction, an eating disorder or autism, you know the devastating impact conditions like these can have on individuals and families. We have a national reputation for understanding and treating a variety of conditions. Our goal is to give you hope and restore your well-being by providing an extensive network of services and programs, including assessments, inpatient and outpatient treatment, counseling, education and emotional support.

As members of the faculty of the University of Minnesota Medical School, our mental health providers also conduct groundbreaking research in neuroscience, behavioral science, psychology and genetics. Collaboration among specialists from different fields gives you access to a wide range of expertise in one place.

The Behavioral Emergency Center provides emergency care, assessment and referral for adults or youth having a mental health or substance abuse crisis. We'll create an individualized treatment plan, to make sure your care will address your emotional, social, cultural and physical needs and will help ensure that you and your family receive the support you need to live happier, healthier lives. A personalized care team might include a psychologist, psychotherapist or counselor, recreational or family therapist and special-education teacher.
