Movement Disorders

Many brain diseases produce abnormal movements. Among the most common are Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, Huntington's disease, dystonia, and essential tremor. Although there is no known cure for these conditions, our multidisciplinary team conducts comprehensive evaluations with each patient to find the optimal medication and/or surgical approach for managing the disorder. Our team has been a leader in applying the technique of deep brain stimulation to control abnormal movement disorders.
