University of Minnesota Physicians radiologists stay on the leading edge of the field, since they also serve as faculty members in the UMP - image - Radiology PET/CT scannerDepartment of Diagnostic Radiology of the University of Minnesota Medical School. The Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging program at the University of Minnesota Medical Center is one of four institutions in the nation to use a state-of-the-art 64-slice PET/CT scanner, which allows our doctors to detect, characterize and monitor the tiniest irregularities in a highly-accurate, cost-effective manner.

Specialty highlights

Imaging and sedation for children
At the University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, specialized pediatric physicians provide diagnostic imaging and sedation for various procedures for children and teens. These physicians include pediatric radiologists, intensive care physicians and pediatric emergency medicine physicians.
