Help for high-risk pregnancy

If you’re pregnant or planning to become pregnant and have a high risk of experiencing a medically complicated pregnancy, specialists at our three Maternal-Fetal Medicine Centers can help with advanced diagnostic screening and treatments for both you and your unborn child. Our maternal-fetal medicine providers collaborate with echocardiographers, genetic counselors, neonatologists, cardiologists, ultrasonographers and registered nurses, among other specialists.

Some of the high-risk factors we treat include:

  • Advanced maternal age
  • Fetal abnormality
  • Gestational diabetes
  • History of preeclampsia or preterm delivery
  • Incompetent cervix
  • Multiple gestation
  • Pre-existing medical conditions, such as cardiac disease or cystic fibrosis
  • Prior fetal or neonatal death
  • Recurrent pregnancy losses
